Several LED companies we represent have developed high power LEDs which are under patent protection are used in built environment lighting applications that require a high light output, such as general and road lighting.

The efficacy of LEDs is highly dependent on the fermi energy bands which were well harvested by the latest research. It is fair to predict that the price of LED lighting will be leveling off similar to what LED TVs can offer now. Whether this prediction is true or not remains to be seen, but what is certain is that LED lighting technology will play an important role in help lower the total ownership cost as well as the total energy use and carbon emissions of our buildings.
